    FAQ’s

They are two types of popular materials used as a means to transport liquids and gasses, though they do have differences. Stainless Steel has Chromium in it which enables it to be resistant to rust and corrosion and, therefore, lasts longer, especially in wet places. Another example is that stainless steel can be exposed to very high temperatures, up to 1,500°F or 815°C, without weakening. Carbon steel is stronger and relatively cheaper but prone to rust easily if it has not been properly coated. Thus, stainless steel is excellent for long-term usage and safety while carbon steel is used for saving cost.

To estimate how much the pipe insulation will cost, we first measure how long and wide the pipes are. We then looked up the prices for different types of insulations in relation to our choice, and prices generally run from about $0.50 per foot to around $2.00 per foot. Then we multiply the total number of feet of pipe with the cost per foot. Then tack on any labor costs if we hire someone to install the pipe insulations.

We know that the larger pipe needs more insulation when we are changing an estimate to another size of pipe. We can calculate a surface area from the size and the length of the pipe. A 6-inch pipe will have higher levels of required insulation than a 2-inch pipe. Investing more for larger pipes is useful for you to get more efficiency. Measuring and calculating very carefully will ensure estimates are correct for any size of pipe.

Underground piping cost estimate would require additional things to account for. In the selection of insulation, it should be able to withstand the moisture and pressure coming from the soil, whereas the more expensive one goes for this. Also, we have to consider the digging cost due to the pipes at a yard since that can go up to about $10 to $20 for concrete density compared to non-concrete density soil. And finally, we add materials for the protection of underground pipes. We then take a view of all these aspects and can make a more or less approximate guess about underground piping.
